If you access support through the Infected Blood Psychological Service (IBPS), the NHS Trust(s) involved in your care will be the data controllers of your personal and clinical information to support the delivery of your care. If you want to know more about how the NHS Trust(s) will handle your personal data, please contact the NHS Trust(s) delivering your IBPS support.
NHS England commissioned a group of NHS Trusts to provide the IBPS. The NHS Trusts commissioned to deliver the IBPS will provide psychological support, if needed, to people who have been infected and affected by infected blood or blood products in England.
In order to help NHS England monitor access to the IBPS and the effectiveness of the service, reports can be generated and sent by the NHS Trusts to NHS England. Any reports produced nationally and regionally will be anonymised. There will be no identifiable information that can be linked back to specific individuals.
